It has been named "World’s Best Olive Oil" by the International Olive Council and "Spain’s Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil" by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture (Venta del Baron) (Olive Oil Extra).
Production Process: The oil is produced in the Priego de Córdoba region in Andalusia, which is known for its unique microclimate and centennial olive trees. The olives are harvested early in the season and cold-pressed within 15 hours to preserve their fresh aroma and flavor. This meticulous process results in an oil that represents just 10% of what could be produced through other methods (Olive Oil Extra) (Oilarium).
Flavor Profile: Venta del Barón is made from Hojiblanca and Picudo olive varieties, creating an oil with an intense fruity flavor and complex notes of green herbs, peppermint, almond shells, banana, and apple.
